At the beginning of this month, Anchor Bay announced that they are teaming up with Carsey Werner to bring the classic TV series Roseanne to DVD. They didn't say "when", though, other than to leave us with a general feeling it would happen this year.

Now Anchor Bay has narrowed it down a bit. Yesterday they updated their website with this tidbit of information:

ROSEANNE (1988-1997)

The domestic goddess herself arrives on DVD at long last. This groundbreaking comedy won over critics and viewers with its focus on blue-collar America. The first season will arrive in Late Summer/Early Fall of 2005 with all-new special features. Look for additional seasons to follow at regular intervals.

A nice tip-off there, to get us in mind of just how quickly we need to save our pennies for this must-buy compilation! We're anxiously awaiting further news on this, and we'll bring it to you as quickly as possible. Stay tuned!

That's actually sooner than I was expecting... the announcement almost always comes a good 6 months before the release.

Hopefully we'll get a new season released around every 6 months. I think that's what Anchor Bay does with Three's Company...

It'll probably be $20-40.00. I really dont care about the price. I just want season 6.
