I thought that this would be the place to discuss the Jackson trial instead of having several different threads about it. Place any news stories and discussions here, please.

I just saw this on Yahoo News. Jay Leno can joke about Jackson in his opening monologue. I can't believe Jackson's lawyer is objecting to it.

They complain about everything to take the attention off his guilt. I heard if he's found guilty they'll say it's because there were no blacks on the jury.

I'm sick of the race crap, these people make everything about race and they seem to think that the world owes them something.

Well that is sort of crappy. A jury is supposed to be "peers." Like it or not, Michael Jackson is an African American male. How is a jury of all white people supposed to represent him?

I don't get this, why does MJ bring race in when it's convienient for him? He's never wanted to be black in the past, so why now does he suddenly use his race as an issue? He's about as representative of the black community as Christina Aguilera is of the caucasian community (she's jumped on the Latin and hip hop bandwagons and even criticized Jennifer Love Hewitt for only dating white men, despite the fact she is white herself)

if you want jokes, I think it'd be about "peers", peers to MJ are 12 year old white boys

I am sorry, I don't care how much I used to like his music, I will never support or EVER listen to the man again after what he's done to countless boys, I cannot condone it.

He pulled this before when his last CD flopped. he said it was because the record company was racist and didn't promote his album. no record company is going to do anything to make a Michael Jackson CD flop their not throwing all that money out.

An attorney on CNN said he's a black man that looks like a white woman. I know that area the trial is being held my aunt used to live there and a couple of cousins still live there I've lived in the county. there aren't that many black people. and the Santa Ynez valley where Jackson lives is mostly white. in this case race doesn't matter, because he's a celebrity and it was hard to find people who would be fair.
