These numbers are significant because last year the only nominations ABC had were Sara Rue for leading actress (comedy), for Less than perfect and Bonnie Hunt of life with bonnie in the same category, as well as nod for hope and faith as best comedy and kelly ripa as lead actress. Now they have jumped to a leading 78 nominations, due in large part to the success of "Desperate Housewives" and"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition".

Shows that got nominations last year but none this year are:
Strong Medicine (lifetime), Port Charles (abc, it was canceled in 2003), Teh George Lopez Show (ABC) and the original Law and Order.

Shows whose numbers dropped largely:
The O.C. with one two solitary nominations, compared to five last year.
Six Feet Under because i don't get HBO anymore.

A Brief history of my awards: i have been doing these awards for many years know. The started off with just me typing a list of my favorties and saving them to my hard drive. Once i found out about sitcomsonline i started posting them here.

The biggest winners in my awards history are: Sela Ward, Calistia Flockharte, Susan Lucci, "Felicity", "Sisters", "Ally McBeal", "Designing Women" and "General Hosptial".
