Angry Idiotic reviewer!

Check out this review from the "Flick Filosopher." Maybe she should have watched the show before reviewing it!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do I look fat in this sitcom to you? Obvious and distasteful, this working-class "comedy" relies entirely on class and gender stereotypes to elicit laughs in the same way that one pulls teeth. David Heffernan (Kevin James), a professional package-deliverer complete with ugly brown uniform, is like a real-life, unironic Homer Simpson, but his wife, Carrie (Leah Remini), is no Marge. He and his friends are crude and rude, she cries a lot, and her father (Jerry Stiller), who moves in with them in the premiere episode, gets a pass on his lewd sexism because his hilarious (not) borderline dementia means he lives in a perpetual 1952. All 24 episodes of the debut 1998-99 season are included here -- plus, mysteriously, two bonus episodes from seasons 2 and 3 -- and jokes about "a box of wine" and a man's love affair with his TV are about as good as it gets. Extras include two pointless featurettes and commentary on the pilot by star Kevin James and creator Michael Weithorn.
Such a brilliant reviewer! You gotta love that David Heffernan!
I looked her up and found her e-mail address. Perhaps we should all e-mail her about how much we LOVED her review!
Yeah really - especially when there is NO DAVID Heffernan on the show - his character's name is DOUG Heffernan. DUHHHH - I want to get a good job with T.V. Guide Duh!!
It isn't stereotypical at all! I'm not too thrilled with the way they portray Carrie (played by Leah Remini) - she's a little on the "hard" side, but other than that, its a great show. Kevin James is a great "everyman" comedian - and Jerry Stiller is always good and full of weird surprises.
Maybe The Critic should actually pay attention to the show she's going to review next time before she posts inaccurate messages!
Yeah, "David" Heffernan. Plus, she said his friends were "rude and crude" and Carrie "cries a lot"! Deacon and Spence are pretty sensitive guys. And Carrie, cry? She may make other people cry, lol, but I think I've only seen her cry once, and that was not until the third season ("Class Struggle").
It just really irritated me to think somebody has the nerve to review something they obviously havne't seen.
(ETA: Mentioning "Class Struggle" just reminded me of that catchy tune I can't get out of my head -
Doug and Carrie,
Doug and Carrie,
Doug and Carrie,
Doug and Carrie,
Doug and Carrie,
Doug and Carrie,
Arthur, Arthur, Arthur, Arthur,
Doug and Carrie,
Doug and Carrie,
Doug and Carrie,
Doug and Carrie)
I'm with you Queen - Doug's friends are great - Deacon isn't crude at all? And yeah - Carrie cry? I don't think so - she's like a Brooklyn Pitbull on Steriods!
What show IS she watching here anyways? Needs to take some "lighten up" pills methinks!!!
And what's with the comment "Do I look fat in this sitcom" - she's got something against overweight stars now? Probably thinks Lara Flynn Boyle looks too healthy too!
O.k. - let's all go back to the unrealistic, perfect body, perfect characters like The Brady Bunch - no stereotyping there!!! HA!
In the words of Carrie from the Noel Cowards ep..."I would like to take a sledge hammer to that piece of crap!" Excuse me for saying this but I mean it in the most polite way [not] what the hell is she talkin' about? Yeah "David Heffernan"..definitely shows that her motto MUST BE "ignorance is bliss" . Carrie "cried" in the pilot episode n maybe a FEW other but man she is a real New Yorker..tough n doesn't take crap from anyone. Doug's friends are great! She OBVIOUSLY knows more about the show than we do
..speaking of the Doug and Carrie song, I really also love the Margy song LMAO!
Cool
First all she is an idiot the guy's name is Doug not David and Carrie has cried but she doesn't always cry.I haven't seen all Seasons 4, 5, and 6.But I only seen her cry maybe a couple times She cried in the pilot,there was another where Arthur moves out and I think it's Deacon says she's crying but not hard plus she was sitting at the kitchen table in this episode so we didn't see her crying.
She cried in a later episode I don't remeber the title but she was wearing all purple and she threw her arms around Doug it was a later episode like from Season 3 or 4 I saw it on channel 9 and the others I mentioned are on my DVD's.I didn't see the mis carriage one so I don't know how hard she was crying or what Season it was from.
But I'm sure I'll catch it.Carrie is not a big cryer.The critic doesn't know what the heck she is talking about and probably no older than 14.Mel
Exactly! Probably only watched one or two episodes that happened to have Carrie crying in them and she made up her mind from that.
Spencer crude??? Hardly - must be the biggest wuss in NYC!!!
