Default Blind Justice Thoughts?

Did anyone catch the premiere? I saw some of it, and it looked very good.

The early overnights: Blind Justice (ABC) - Overnights: 8.9/14 (#2 in timeslot), Fast Nationals: 8.1/13 (#2 in timeslot), Viewers: 12.30 million (#2 in timeslot), A18-49: 4.5/12 (#2 in timeslot)

I think this is was exactly ABC hoped for in that slot. 4.5 in adults is right on what I thought it would get. Hopefully it continues to get this and expand on it.

I watched it, thought it was okay, but it has far too many similiarities to the Marvel comic book Daredevil. All of the scenes when we see what Dunbar sees were awful.

But I think it has some potential, unless it slips into just another cop show with a cop who happens to be blind.

I Hate cop shows, But I Actually liked this one. I Like the fact that he has to rely on his other sences to investigate. I'm definitely gonna watch it again, Hopefully it keeps my interest.

I agree. What's the deal, does he really have super heightened senses, or is this just for affect?

I know there is supposed to be a certain suspension of disbelief when you're watching a show with such a high concept but there is no way in Hell a blind man would be allowed to carry a gun!
I'm sorry, it would never happen!

All criticism aside, I thought the pilot episode was okay, but I don't have much hope for the show. Why? Becasue Rena Sofer is in the cast, and she's setting a new record for starring in failed shows.

Total bore, IMO. It doesn't seem to have much potential either. I can't see it really growing. I for one will not be tuning in any more.

SVU deservedly won the timeslot, Martin Short gave an Emmy-worthy performance.

Great show. I loved it. It think Steven Bochco has another winner on his hands.

I remember in the 1970's there was a show called LONGSTREET starring James Francisus. Same idea although Longstreet was a private investigator. I liked the show. Sure it was a bit far fetched but it was entertaining. Same goes for this show. I may look it up on tvtome.

I like the show. His wife is hot and his partner is sexy as hell. I'm waiting for a fist fight between Dunbar and Russo.

Thumbs down

It's one of the worst cop shows I've ever seen. This ridiculous premise of an armed NYPD blind detective was just too much. The kitchen scene in the pilot episode where Det. Magoo is pointing his gun at an unarmed suspect with his chick partner passed out on the floor was so pathetic it was satirical.
