Default EPMD's Crossover Song

I like Parrish Smith's lyrics on this song especially the 2nd verse where he says the rap era is out of control. Brothers sellin their soul, going, going, going, gone another rapper sold. To move to pop to r&b, not the m.d. I'm strictly hip hop, i stick to Kid Capri. That's when the mind switch to the pop tip. Coochie gonna be large, yeah right that's what the company kicks. Forget the black crowd, you're large now in a zu suit frontin black lookin mad foul. I speak for the hardcore. Rough, rugged & raw. I'm outta here, catch me chillin on my next tour. These lyrics he said is definitely true about how rappers be sellin out making pop songs instead of stickin to the hardcore music. It's interesting because Erick Sermon who is also in EPMD has made some pop songs the last few years on his solo albums. Music was a hit song for him 4 years ago because he sampled Marvin Gaye's voice. That song was pop to me but i liked it. He also did another pop song called React 3 years ago that got a lot of radio play. It baffles me that rappers can talk about they dislike rappers that go pop but yet & still they turn around & do the same thing pop rappers are doing.

I like Rampage and Gold Digger on there. Business never Personal was the joint because Head Banger of course. I didn't like back in Business. Eric Sermon I don't care for anymore.

Back In Business album is tight. Have you heard their last album Out Of Business? Erick Sermon has made some good solo albums like No Pressure, Double Or Nothing, Chilltown NY. Chilltown NY was his last solo album that came out last year. Parrish Smith isn't that bad by himself. I used to have his Shade Business & Business Is Business albums. He had a solo album out 2 years ago called The Awakening but it sucked. There was talk of another EPMD album a few years ago but nothin has happened yet.

I heard Out Of Business, I didn't care for it. Don't get me started on The Awakening.

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Parrish Smith kinda sucks by himself. Nobody buys his solo albums LOL. I remember when his first solo album Shade Business came out in 1994, i would go to the record store & i would see lots of copies of his album on tape for $2 hahahahahahahahahahaha.
