This was a show that often would use actors in multiple roles. Ron Howard's brother Clint guest starred twice in different parts. In fact three regulars previously in other roles, Crystal Bernard first appered an s girl named Mikki before becoming KC Cunningham, Lynda Goodfriend appeared as a girl named Kim in Time Capsule, and Linda Purl was on years earlier as Richie's girlfriend Gloria. Speaking of that, I think a funny inside joke would have been if Marion had said to Ashley that she looks alot like one of her son's old girlfriends.
