did they ever find out what happened to Dave Bocks? sounds awfully suspicious to me! i mean, he and his supervisor have an argument, then he is found in the furnace...

Indeed, it was suspicious that he had been arguing with his supervisor before his body was discovered in the furnace. It just wasn't enough to prove murder. However, I never once believed (and still don't believe) that Bocks killed himself. As mentioned in the segment, his remains were toxic to be buried in the ground, so they were placed in an oil drum. |

There's no way he killed himself... why would you want to die a painful death like that? If he was going to commit suicide, he would have done something less inhumane like a gun to the head...
As far as I know, the case is unsolved. Lifetime played it not too long ago with no update. |

Two things intrigue me about this case:
Dave BOCKS got a new lunch BOX the day before his disappearance. Dave BOCKS is now in a BOX since he's too toxic to bury. It's got government scandal written all over it. |

Though it has been nearly 21 years since that fateful night when Dave Bocks vanished and later died, for some people like his family it could still seem like only yesterday. As far as I know there have been no updates since the story was first broadcast in early 1994, and even back then they had no new info even almost a decade after the fact. That old saying about how there is no such thing as the perfect murder is in a way accurate, becuase the perfect murder is so well performed that it can't be proven to be a murder at all.
As said in the story he was last seen alive walking to a buliding other then the one he was assigned to. Maybe he was looking for something in connecion with whatever he was supposedly going to blow the whistle on, or may be he was secretly told to report to that building by those who later killed him. But this is just a theory. We may never know... |
