Thumbs down Friends is getting old?

There is nothing more sad than watching these up 30 somethings pretending they are 21 year olds. They are at least 15 years older than the people they are acting like. It is really sad to see these old ladies and old men (balding and wrickly), hurtling toward their 40's and not looking cute at all pretending to be in their early 20's. Really a turn off to see older people act that way, I think they should have a little dignity and retire or move on to new shows that suit their older ages. High School and College kids don't want to see them pretend anymore THEY ARE NOT FOOLING ANYBODY. Also what is up with last nights show (I happend to watch part of it because our cable tv was out) anyway with Sean Penn finding out that his girl friend is not 25 but older like her drivers licence says? When he is so obviously well older than anyone on that show, he has got to be at last in his early to mid 40's himself... The more child like this team acts the more sad it becomes becuase they are holding onto the past and seem so despirate to turn back the clock. Poor FRIENDS so sad, so pittiful, this midle aged group should move on they have so much tallent to give in acting. They could be portraying more realistic ages for their older generation THE 1990'S ARE OVER, THEY HAVE BEEN FOR YEARS......

Wink

I think all the actors are older than their characters. But all the characters are 30 or older. Rachel celebrated her 30th last season. I believe all the other characters had their 30th b-days before her.
I imagine everyone involved with the show would like to move on to something else. I think the show has improved this year. It might be smart to go out while they're still on top.

Exclamation

Are you crazy??? Old ladies??? Balding and wrinkly??? What the hell show are YOU watching??? They all have barely turned 30 which is NO WHERE close to "hurtling towards 40"....None of the characters even come CLOSE to "pretending" they're in their 20's. I don't know what your problem is with the show, but my advice to you would be not to watch it if it bothers you this much.
BTW...Sean Penn is 42. Not mid-40's as you claim. You're pathetic... and unless you've somehow managed to "hurtle" yourself to the year 2010, last I checked, 1999 was only 2 yrs ago!!! You're a sad, sad person with no life or outside activites.....
