ED McMAHON HOSPITALIZED AFTER FALL

LOS ANGELES -- Ed McMahon is in the hospital.

His spokeswoman, Susan DuBow, said Johnny Carson's former sidekick fell at his home in Beverly Hills, Calif., a couple of days ago, and ended up with a mild concussion and a gash in his head that required stitches.

DuBow said McMahon's prognosis is "excellent" -- and that he's expected to be released "in the next few days."

McMahon turned 82 on Sunday.

He's best known as Carson's sidekick on "The Tonight Show," and hosted the talent search program "Star Search."

He was also co-host with Dick Clark of the "Bloopers" shows.

I always enjoyed watching him and Dick Clark on Tv's Bloopers and Practical Jokes. I'm happy to hear that he's going to be ok.
