hello
i am into mustang motorcycles. it is my understanding that there was
a show that included one. they referred to it as "the scooter" in the show. i believe that the show was about ricky/david trying to decide how to sell the bike so it would be fair to each other!
i noticed that there was a show number 218 called the motorcycle. is anyone
familiar with that show. or does anyone have any info on "the scooter" show.

I just watched a copy of this episode (the box the tape came in said the episode is called "The Motorcycle"). This is what happened in the episode I watched:

Ozzie and Harriet are driving down a road to look at a house for a friend. They walk up a dirt road and meet David and some of his friends riding motorcycles up a hill and watch. Later David comes home on a motorcycle and says he might buy it and sell his car. Then Ozzie talks to Darby and comes up with the idea of Ozzie taking David on a fishing trip and talk about buying the motorcycle. Ozzie talks to Ricky about the fishing trip and Ricky gets the idea that he is going too on the trip and that Ozzie wanted to have a talk with him. Ozzie tells him the trip is for Ozzie and David only.

When they were done fishing, Ozzie tries to talk to David about buying a motorcycle. But two of David's friends come up on their motorcycles. David gets on one bike and rides off while one of the friends talks with Ozzie. When David gets back, Ozzie decides to talk about the motorcycle on the way home. But one of the cars's tires is flat, and the spare tire is flat too. So David's friends rides one bike while David and Ozzie ride the other bike home and go back tomorrow to get the car. They run out of gas and have to walk to a gas station.

Ozzie never got to talk to David, but David said he decided not to buy the motorcycle and keep his car. Then Ricky comes in and asks Ozzie for $100 for a down payment on a motorcycle. Ozzie wanted Ricky to think it over and said he will take him fishing tomorrow to talk about it and get the car. Darby asks Ozzie to come outside to show him something. After Ozzie goes outside, Ricky tells Harriet he only asked for the money because he thought it would get Ozzie to take Ricky fishing.

Darby shows Ozzie the motorcycle he bought for his son. Harriet says something about Darby might sell the bike to Ozzie and Harriet. Ozzie says he won't and that David, Ricky, and Ozzie doesn't want one. Ozzie asks who else would want it, and then Harriet gets on the motorcycle and rides off.

i'm still not sure if this is the show that included the mustang motorcycle "the scooter". i'm just buy it and check it out! any ideals on where to purchase it? do you know of any other show that included a motorcycle (scooter)?

I don't know any other episode that had a motorcycle or scooter in it, Have not watched a lot of O & H. The copy of "The Motorcycle" episode I have I copied off of a 12 year old 2-tape set got from the public library. The set was called "Ozzie and Harriet" by Madacy Music Group.

i talked to a friend and he tells me that he has seen the show that included a "scooter". it deals with david and ricky trying to decide how to sell a motorcycle (referred to as a scooter in the show!). this may have aired around '57 or '58! does anyone have any info on this show? i would like to acquire a copy of it!

I don't know if the Motorcycle ep is the one you're looking for, but its a good ep. It was one of the first eps I got on VHS by the Madacy Group. Madacy can be very hit & miss but their O&H were TERRIFIC & with commercials. Other TV series I got thru them were so-so.

I understand this ep is on the 100ep DVD set that just came out. I noticed some have bought this at QVC.
