Question Ross & Rachel History

I'm trying to get a friend of mine caught up with the R&R history, but I need your help. How many times has R&R been together and ultimately broken up and what have the reasons been?

Thanks in advance for everyone's help!!!

I hope i am right about this because if I am not, I am the worst fan of this show ever.

Anyway, I only remember Ross and Rachel being "together" one time and that was after the prom video. They broke up then because of "the break" when Ross slept with the copy girl. Now, they did get married in Vegas when they all went out to visit Joey but they were drunk. Then ross told rachel that he got the marriage anulled but of course he didn't until Rachel found out and made him.

That is what I remember.

Hope it helps.

Post Re: Ross & Rachel History

Ok. The person who replied is partially right, but he/she forgot a Lot! Prepare youself for a long reply. First of all, in the very first episode, ross likes rachel and he asks her if it would be alright if he asks her out sometime, she says it would be ok, sometime. Then, all through the first season, ross really likes her, then one time, on the balcony, he was just about to ask her out; until a cat attacks him, then they find the owner of the cat; who rachel goes out with. Then in the last episode of the first season, a clumsy chandler lets it slip to rachel that ross likes her, she feels overwhelmed and decides to greet ross at the airport to recipracate his love (ross is in china on a bone dig), but she is heartbroken when he returns with a fellow palientologist (and new girlfriend) under his arm. Then he dates her (Julie) until one night, him and rachel have a fight, then ross walks out the door of a closed central perk, then 20 seconds later, rachel lets him back in to make up and make out. Then rosds cant decide whether to stay with julie or go with rachel, so he and chandler make a "Pros" and "Cons" list. Ross then picks rachel and dumps julie, then rachel finds the list and finds out that ross thinks shes too into her looks, spioled, and that she has chubby ankles. After reading the list, rachel refuses to go out with ross, until 4-5 episodes later when the gang takes a look at an old prom video wich shows the geeky genesis of ross' love for rachel, then they make out. Then, finnaly, in the middle of the second season, they go out......................until around the middle of the third season, in which they mutually decide to "take a break." While they were on "a break" ross gets mixed signals and sleeps with chloe; the hot lady from the copy shop. at the very end of season 3, and the start of season four, they agree to get back together; but first, ross must read an 18 page (double sided) letter from rachel in which he falls asleep reading, but tells rachel that he read it and that "It Does"(she asks him: so,....does it? he responds with it does: not knowing that he was taking responsibility for sleeping with chloe, and that everything that went wrong in their relashonship was his fault) so then he tells rachel, It soooo does not, and they break up again. Then he meets british babe emily, and gets engaged with her. In the fourth season finale, everyone but a pregnant pheobe, and a heartbroken rachel head over to london for thier wedding. Rachel decides she still loves ross, and flys over to tell him that, but when she gets there, she sees how happy they are, and decides not to tell him. Then when reciting the vows, ross screws up bigtime and asys "I take thee rachel", instead of saying "I take thee emily". At the start of the fifth season rachel finnaly tells ross that she still loves him, and he claims he doesnt really know what to do with that right now. even though he says the wrong name, they still got married, but emily would only move to new york with ross is he promises never to see rachel again, but he does and Emily finds out and tells him that she cant trust anymore, which spurs divorce #2 for ross. Then at the end of season five, the gang (except ross and rachel, who are going the next day, due to work) head over to las vegas to see joey. Then rachel: having the apartment to herself, dances around naked: ross sees from his apartment and runs up to rach thinking she was trying to entice him to do it. Then when they go to vegas, they get drunk and they got married. then, in the start of the sixth season, ross and rach get divorced. Then at the start of season 7, rachel "steals monicas thunder" by kissing ross. Then nothing between them happened until the 8th season which its revealed that they had a one night stand, with a little problem, Rachel got pregnant from ross, now they just leared there baby is a girl, and that is ross and rachels history, up to now.................................................................

Ok, first I must say that you are MUCH better at giving the details of relationships, I get a little tired of typing after about the first paragraph or so! But, since the question was how many times have they actually been together and broken up, I am right. They haven't really been TOGETHER as much as it seems. They did come close many times but it never really happened, like with the cat on the balcony, kissing in the coffee shop, and TOW Monica's Thunder. As far as actually being a COUPLE, the only time was after the prom video.
Excellant job on the synopsis of the relationship!

Thumbs up Re::

Yes, You are right; they really have only gone out once (Though ross once mentioned that it was for 2 years that they had gone out)but they still have a lot of history, I think between the two of us, we got her friend caught up!

Thanx
