Default Whats the sickest you've ever been?

Have you ever felt so sick before that you thought you'd die?
I am usually pretty bad with the flu.It really knocks me for six and I'm the most irritable and miserable person until I get well.

But the worst sickness I ever had was the chicken pox. That was misery.I doused myself in calamine lotion.I had them in my ears in my mouth, everywhere. It was absolutely awful.I still have one or two scars on my forehead from the chicken pox scratching.

I also hate that feeling when you want to vomit but cannot.I seem to get it in the night, and cant sleep. Then i cant stop thinking about the food that brought that nausea on.But sucking on a lemon really helps.By the way,I have not thrown up for 7 years!

Whats the sickest you've ever been?

Hmm... probably 2 years ago over February vacation, I had laryngitis and a sinus infection at the same time... lost my voice and everything. Took me almost 3 weeks to get over it.

Either that time or this past Christmas when I got sick 14 times within 7 or 8 hours and was majorly dehydrated. To this day, I still think it was food poisoning from Wendy's.

When I was like 8, I threw up like 11 times and I had to go to the ER cause I was dehydrated.

Freshman year I went to Wisconsin Dells with my friend and I was sick and I came home and went to the doctor and they said I had pneumonia. That is not fun.

In December 2002, my senior year in high school - I thought I was going to die! I had a SERIOUS case of the flu that left me bedridden for two weeks and majorly drained of energy. It didn't help that I had nausea the WHOLE two weeks I was sick, so I lost 10 pounds. I had to go to the hospital to be prescribed medication for my nausea, since it absolutely would not go away. Then I went back to the hospital again to be prescribed antibiotics to get well.

That was awful...usually, if I get the flu (and by concidence, I haven't had the flu since Dec '02), I'm out of school for at least two days.

Default Scarlet Fever & Bronchitis

For me; it's when I was around 14 or 15 years old. I had scarlet fever and bronchitis at the same time. I missed school for about 3 weeks and my bronchitis was pretty bad. When I would cough during the night; it would be so bad that I had trouble breathing.

One night; I had coughed so hard that a vein in one of my eyes had burst and there was blood in the corner that took awhile to go away. When I went back to school; some people freaked out at the sight of my eye.

I'm a person who loves milk and back then when I would drink some; I would throw it up right away which bothered me so much.

Probably about five years ago I was sick as a dog but the worst thing is I was sick while working as I was doing the best to get off of work and they wouldn't let me off. I was fearful of giving the flu to people when ringing them up and work wouldn't let me off at all. They told me that I could work while I was with the flu.

I haven't been serously ill in recent years. The only time I've been so sick where I ended up in the hospital was whe I was in Kindergarten and had an allergic reaction to some earache medication. The reaction was so bad that I could barely walk and bruises just formed out of nowhere on my legs. The doctors had apparently only seen one other case like it.

"Pneumonia." I don't know why it's spelled that weird way.

The sickest was getting dehydrated after jaw surgery. I spent 5 hours in the emergency room getting an I.V.

I'm been really sick a few times. When I was 2 I almost died because I contacted some form of virus and couldn't keep any food down. I don't really remember it, only from what my parents told me. About 8 years ago I had a serious asthma attack and I thought I was going to die. I could barely walk without losing my breath and last year I had pains in my left arm that lasted for months and went into my chest a few times. I thought I was having a heart attack but the doctors could never find out what was wrong.
