Default Why the hell would USA Today compare the Ratings of the Happy Days and One Day at a

Time Reunion? It was reported that the ODAAT reunion only achieved half of the total number of viewers for the HD reunion. Why would that be suprising to anyone when HD has been on TV LAND for 3 years and ODAAT is barely seen locally?-lol What a dumb comparison

you are right. I didn't see One Day at A Time reaunion because I have never seen the show because I have never gotten a chance to watch it. There are a lot of people like me. Same thing will happen to the Mork and Mindy special.

Happy Days have gained new fans of Fans by being on TV LAND since 2002 while ODAAT is on the shelves collecting dust-lol Do you know that some 25 year olds never even heard of One Day at a Time?

It shouldn't have been a comparison. a lot of people don't know what One Day at Time is. I didn't know until I bought a tv theme song CD. Happy Days has been on the air in syndication non-stop since 1984. One Day at A Time has hardly been seen in syndication.

It doesn't really surprise me. On top of all that , although both were top 20 hits during the same time, Happy Days was always the more popular show and ODAAT always seemed to be the forgotten child of Norman Lears shows being overshadowed by All In The Family and his other hits. The show was in syndication for a long time in the 80's and also on E in the 90's but it hasn't been seen since.

well, I would say that the very best of Happy Days is better than the very best of ODAAT, but I also would argue that ODAAT stayed consistantly good for a longer period of time. I really only like the first 3 (and maybe fourth) seasons of HD, and the post-Ron Howard episodes are practically unwatchable. Whereas ODAAT lost Mackensie Phillips and yet the show's momentum wasn't hurt in the slightest. I would even argue that the latter seasons of One Day At A Time (especially the 1981-1982 season) were the best seasons, while Happy Days went from a great show (seasons 1-3) to a good show (season 4) to an okay show (seasons 5-7) to unwatchable (the post-Howard seasons), of course all of this is my personal opinion.

This might come off as sounding stupid, but there was actually a "One Day at a Time" reunion special? When? Where? I watch a lot of television (probably too much, lol) and I never saw it advertised once.

Last time I seen One Day At a Time, it was airing on E! a few years ago. Before that, It was shown all the time in the 80s. Locally, and nationally syndicated.
