KISS MY GRITS on her Show after leaving Alice? I personally think since that was an ALICE catchprhrase the FLO character should have become a Different Type of character. And if she was still going to say KMG atleast she could have waited a little instead of saying it in the very first Episode of FLO-lol. I watch the very first episode of FLO today and when I heard kiss my grits I was surprised.

i wasnt surprised; in many ways that catchphrase WAS the character of Flo after she left Alice - without the interaction of the other interesting characters Flo got boring pretty quickly....

ON Alice, when FLO said KMG was it mainly directed toward Mel?

to the best of MY recollection, while Flo did use her catchphrase on others, it was MAINLY directed at Mel - mostly because he was such a (lovable) jerk

Even when Mel guest starred on FLO she said Kiss My Grits to him-lol

i think the catchphrase should have been retired but i'm not at all surprised that it was trotted out right in the first ep and then regularly after that-this is, after all, primetime network tv taped before a studio audience, where dumbing-down is the name of the game.
