Simone is okay but i think that shes run her course. she simply serves no purpose anymore. she had some potential but its gone, get rid of her.

Well i guess we just need to agree to disagree. But i think, that while i like Terri Ivens i do not think that the character of Simone has a purpose on the show anymore. Other than Kendall and Greenlee she really has no ties to any other characters, and even that story is beyond boring. Terri Ivens is good, but i'd reather see t hem get rid of her and focus on some of the more established veteran characters who have a history on the show.

I agree with everything you just said. I say the number 1 thing that would give AMC the much needed boost it needs right now (in the wake of Bianca & Maggie's departure & Edmund & Phoebe's deaths) lies in three little words: BILLY CLYDE TUGGLE! = daytime's baddest pimp I should start a bring Billy Clyde back from the dead campaign lol

A Billy Clyde Tuggle revamp would be just what the show needs.

Kendall and Greenlee are her only ties? Um, no… how about Tad? Did you watch AMC today? Simone went over to his house and said that he was her best lover – then they kissed! hehe! They can focus on a veteran like Tad by writing a hot romance for him with Simone. All he ever does now is worry about his kids – this would give him the chance to have a story of his own.

What ties does Billy Clyde have? He doesn’t have any family members currently in Pine Valley. Yes, he has some connections – just like Simone does. Why get rid of a good actress and character? The only thing that needs to change is the writing. I’d rather have them dump Anita – an annoying, dull idiot.

I like Simone and I think she is funny. I have a feeling her character will be getting a lot of air time now with the departure of BAM. What is Simone's last name on AMC? Isnt she supposed to be latin on the show? Also getting some air time soon will be Maria's kids who will be now shown as teenagers.

well maybe so, but Simone just isn't an important or central character to the show anymore and they need to start refocusing on characters of central importance. Simone/Tad lasted on a little while and was not a very popular storyline. Simone needs to go, but i'd like to see them get rid of Anita as well. One Santos i'd like to see come back though is Julia, now that Sydeny Penny is free. She needs to come back. AMC needs to worry about writing for their veteran characters and not worry about idiotic charcters like Simone who serve no purpose on the show. Billy Clyde Tuggle could work because hes a character that viewers (at least long-term viewers) know and have connections too, and hes one of the most feared villians in AMC history. if i'm not mistaken he has ties to opal, ruth, tad and many other characters.

but if they were to bring back even just two characters i'd want it to be Gillian Andrassy because she has ties to many characters including Ryan, Maria, Erica, and so on. This could create a nice triangle between Ryan/Greenlee/Gillian and also bring back memories for Maria since Gillian is related to Dimitri Marrick, Edmunds half-brother. And Erica and Maria could remember their old feud (Maria sleeping w/Dimitri) .The second character i'd want them to bring back is Dimitri as well, i think that Micheal Nader has cleaned himself up know, but thats a character they need back, even if they have to recast it. hes vital to the show.

And again, you don't know what you’re talking about.
Tad & Simone won tons of polls in soap magazines and even AMC’s #1 fan, Carol Burnett, loves them. Every message board I visit seems to also love them as a couple. You say, "focus on Tad" -- but how so? Please explain! I rather have him with Simone than worrying about his kids 24/7. You rarely get a story without a love interest -- espeically when you're an older veteran like Michael E. Kinight. Who better to be his love interest than the hilarious and vibrant Simone? Soaps need new blood. Yes, I'm a longtime fan and love when they focus on years past, but you also have to move on. Characters like Billy Clyde were once newbies too.

Your argument still doesn’t make any sense to me.

Whatever. I just don't like Simone. i never thought she was a very important character and i did NOT like her with Tad at all. Tad belongs with someone that can actually hold their own acting against him, which Ms. Ivens just cannot. shes pretty to look at, but thats about it. I like Tad with Krystle and i always liked him with Liza. or theres always Brooke who he has imense chemistry with. Simone had some potential at the begging with her story when she was sleeping w/Greenlee's dad, but nothing after that has been much of anything.

With Bianca and Maggie gone now is the perfect time for them to bring back actors that can actually act and characters we might give a crap about.

and btw, polls in the soap magazine are totally biased and rigged, otherwise how do you explain GH's Carly/Sonny being number 1 all the time when all the fans i've ever talked to can't stand either one nevermind them as a couple.

Peace Out and lets just agree to disagree.

But people DO care about Simone. Just because you don’t like her doesn’t mean she isn’t popular. Tad never had good romantic chemistry with Brooke -- their marriage in 1993 was a complete disaster. I like them as friends, but not as lovers. Brooke belongs with Adam Chandler.
Tad was never good with Liza. The writers made a huge mistake making them friends. This made zero sense considering all the horrible things Liza did to Tad’s sister Jenny and his friends Jesse and Angie. She also wrecked his marriage to Dixie.
And Terri Ivens can act -- she proved that when Culliton was HW. She versatile, and can do both hard drama and comedy. Tad and Krystal as a couple makes me shutter -- with him comparing her to Dixie! PLEASE! Dixie wouldn’t want Tad with that skank.

Like you said… We’ll just have to agree to disagree.

HAHA! Are you for real?
Again, you don’t understand -- I think you need to read my posts more closely.
I never said Julia Barr isn’t popular.... people just don’t like Brooke and Tad as a couple!!!! I remember all the negative mail the show got back in 1993 when Brooke and Tad got married -- they didn’t have good romantic chemistry. People wanted Tad with Dixie and Brooke with Edmund. Just because you’re a popular character and a good actor doesn’t mean you’re gonna have romantic chemistry with everyone! Brooke is a popular character, no doubt about it, and would set the show on FIRE with Adam Chandler! Simone is also popular and has the advantage of having awesome, sexual chemistry with Tad.

Actually READ my posts before you reply, OK?

i read your posts i simply DISAGREE. i remember Tad and Brooke having TONS of chemistry, yes some fans objected to them being paired up but others like myself loved it. I think that Micheal Knight and Julia Barr have loads of chemistry and that enough time has passed that a Tad/Brooke pairing could work just fine. Personally, and remember this means my own personal opinion is that i never liked Tad with Dixie, i always found her too whiny, wishy-washy and insipidly boring, at least Brooke challenged Tad and made him stand up for his belifes. Dixie kind of just sat there and whined about her life, at least Brooke could take action and get her life together, most of the time... Brooke and Liza are the only two i've ever wanted to see Tad with. Edmund/Brooke were okay, but i much perfered him with Maria. and Brooke again with Tad. not everyone needs to agree, but thats how i feel.

and Terri Ivens, great you like her, i don't i feel shes wasted on the show and that valuable airtime is being wasted on her that could be spent on more important characters. either they need to give her a lot of airtime or cut thier losses and let her leave.
