![]() In Australia,The controversial film that depicted the final 12 hours of the life of Jesus in a brutal and confronting way, will re open in limited cinemas over Easter. The film is apparently a less-brutal version. Did anyone see the Passion of Christ? Seriously, what did you think of it? |

they're bringing it back to theaters in the US too, even though I think it's time for it to air on HBO, re-released movies just aren't what they were 20+ years ago before premium tv, VHS and DVD. Back in those days, you could reissue a hit movie 3 or 4 times, now the movie has it's run once (or maybe they might reissue it in time for Oscar season if it gets nods), but you wouldn't see them suddenly decide to re-release the Lord Of The Rings trilogy, even tho I'm sure in the 70's, they would've 3 or 4 times. I know that Disney reissued Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs to theaters a good 8 or 9 times, the most recent being in 1993.

I can say this much about "Passion of the Christ"
It is no "Make Out" flick. and you reach for the Tylenols when you get home after sitting through it. |
