ok i was watching UM the other day and the Kimmel (aka the girl who had the red sports car with the license plate Lil' Miss) case came on and since recent developments have taken place it was updated but not by Stack - but by a voiceover from an unknown woman (I think this was also done with the Martha Moxley case) so it brings to mind a few questions
This "overdub" was obviously done after Robert Stack's passing because if it was done when he was still alive he certainly would have been the one doing the voice over correct? Also since they are updating certain cases to a degree would you be in favor of any of the following 1) Only airing the cases as they were originally broadcast with updates containing relevent information or developments in the cases 2) The original broadcasts being aired as were without the new updates (ie: ones Stack didn't do) 3) The new "Lifetime editted" segments (aka the dark blue background segments) Just asking Later. |

I suppose I'll go with number 1. I've seen a few where there is no voiceover. Rather there is just text displayed over the green screen.

That was a good question, but I haven't seen the update UM did on my daughters case to give an opinion on the 3 options. But to answer when the update was done, it was indeed after Robert Stack died. After Lisa's car was found I called UM a number of times requesting that they pull the segment or at least update it as we were still getting calls from well meaning people who thought they had seen her car. Regardless of how they did the update, I was just glad they finally did do it in some fashion or another. FYI Cold Case Files (CCF) is airing her story on the A&E cable channel again today at 12pm MST. Sheila Kimmell - Lisa's Mom |

Every time I ever saw Kimmel's name pop up, for some reason I always assumed I had seen the case. But I just watched it, and damned if I'd never seen it before.
And now I just figured out that shek, a semi-frequent poster here, is Lisa's mother. I am so sorry for her loss. |

I think she was upset or tired after getting a speeing ticket, so she pulled into a rest stop (which was actually well lit).
Then Dale Wayne Eaton (apparently lurking there that night just waiting for someone to show up to attack?) either came up to her window and pulled a gun on her. Or maybe she got out to go use a restroom and then he either approached her and pulled a gun on her or just grabbed her and forced her into his vehicle, then tying her up I believe (or keeping a gun aimed at her). |
