The Lost Color Episode is actually The Munsters very first pilot. It's in The Munsters Season 1 DVD set, recently released by Universal.

oh ok. I am still waiting for the price to go down on the DVD before I get it. I knew the pilot was in color I thought you were talking about another episode. It would be neat though if there was a lost third season episode.

That's impossible. Al Lewis knew The Munsters was over when they said, "Don't bring your lunch to work anymore". That's kind of a cruel way of letting you know your show has been cancelled.
The only color things with the original cast are... The Munsters 1st pilot Munster, Go Home! The Munsters' Revenge Everything else, is pretty much just cheap remakes. Like,... The Munsters Today Here Come the Munsters The Munsters' Scary Little Christmas |

yeah you are right I was just thinking that for some reason they filmed an episode before they new it was cacelded. I know that they didn't though. Its weird they made the Munsters Go Home after the series ended. Which reminds me why is Pat Preiest not in that.

Joe Connelly and Bob Mosher (Creators of "Leave it to Beaver" and "The Munsters"), felt that Pat Priest was getting too old for the show, and decided to fire her and replace her with Debbie Watson, who was about 10 years younger than Priest.

I liked Pat Priest better but Debbie Watson did a good job in Munster Go Home. Pat Priest did not look bad at all. I would be real mad if I was her was told I was to old to be in The Munsters Movie

After Joe and Bob told Pat the bad news, she broke down in tears. Al Lewis was very sweet and helped cheer her up.
Later, Fred Gwynne and Al Lewis both went to bat and argued with Joe and Bob to put Priest in the movie. They argued and argued, but it didn't work. So, they went ahead with Munster, Go Home!, with Debbie Watson. |

that is very intresting I have never heard this story before. I can't imagine Joe Connely and Bob Mosher after writing for Beaver arguing and telling Pat Priest she is to old. I am guessing it was not there idea it was probbably Universal Studios. Is that right

Debbie was under contract to Universal to work for a certain amount of time. I guess it was cheaper to hire Debbie, under contract to Universal, rather than keep Pat.
I don't know, it seems pointless to fire someone before you film the final production, and replace them with someone else. |

I guess Pat Priest was still mad when they made those other Munsters things you mentioned because she never seems to play Marylin again. She appears as herself in some things but never again as Marylin. Debbie Watson never played her again either.

It's kind of weird when you think about it. There are actually 8 TOTAL MARILYN'S!
This website explains it. http://users.owt.com/jesyr/munsterme...t.MARILYN.html |

I know!
The guy who owns it, must have abandoned it, because he hasn't updated it in 2 years. |
