Mine is by far "Watch it, sucka!" I like that so much, I always say that to other people when I'm clowning around. That would get my vote more than "Fish eyed fool" and "You heaththen"

None of them was funny because she said them all the time. Maybe I should not have responded to this thread because there was nothing about Aunt Esther that was funny.lol

Joking but they had never seen Sanford and Son. I knew who they were the people who were in my way.

Often when she was preaching down to Fred and his sinful life, just before she threw open the door and pranced out stepping high, she'd yell "Ho...Glory!"

I don't know why TVShow A doesn't think she was hilarious. She was part of the vehicle for Fred's jokes.

My favorite part of Aunt Esther was when she would leave. Forget the "Praise the lord", she was off the set so we didnt have to listen to her.

I definitely love when she would say "Watch It Sucka", but I also loved the few times when she would threaten to "beat the hell out of" whomever got on her bad side--lol.

Or when Esther said to the original Woodrow:
"Woodrow, put that bottle down before I unscrew your arm and beat the devil outta you!" Or this episode with Grady: Grady says: "Sticks and Stones will break my bones, but names will never hurt me!" Then Esther says: "Well I'll get some sticks, and I'll get some stones, and the name that will hurt you will be Esther!" |
