I think as a couple, they complimented each other very well, actually.

I agree! They had the chemistry and you could tell they were very much in love...at least in the early years, until the writers cooled them off.

But the chemistry still remained and I think that was Hugh and Barbara's chemistry more than anything. I think June definately hit the jackpot when she married Ward.
