Hey everyone! I've been reading this message board for a long time but never felt the need to register until today. Lifetime pulled a fast one and played an episode from the first season I hadn't seen before, and unfortunately I wasn't paying complete attention to the TV. Can anyone tell me more about the case from Washington state where the woman was found murdered next to her boyfriend's truck in the woods. Police believe it was related to another killing in the area as both female victims were strangled with identical tube socks. Names, dates, location and any updates would be appreciated. Cheers!

where people liked to hitch-hike to get to where they were going? - I think the women murdered were Annette Snee and Bobbi Olberholtzer and Bobbi's husband Jeff was the main suspect because he knew both women? - I am not sure about the status of the case of if Jeff is still the main suspect but there is a book out on various serial killers etc and it's very likely that Bobbi and Annette are among this particular one's victims (I can't remember his name at the moment) because they fit the profile of the types of crimes committed in the area in which the Bobbi and Annette murders occured.
So thats one theory Later. |

The was the Mike Reimer case (if I spelled the surname correctly). He and his girlfriend disappeared in the Washington wilderness in December of 1985; although his girlfriend was found dead two months later, Mike Reimer himself was never found. The murder is believed to have been connected to two other homicdes that occured in the area during the mid-'80s.
I have searched online for any any web sites or articles related to the case, but to no avail (so far). |

DarkDante, the Oberholtzer and Schnee murders happened in Breckenridge, Colorado in January of 1982. I think that was the scariest segment UM ever profiled. To be driven down a dead end road in sub zero temperature miles and miles away from ANYONE and killed... scary movie material.
I have the book you are talking about and Tom Luther is suspected in their murders. He killed and TRIED to kill several women in that exact same fasion in the same area during the same time period - (driving them out into the woods and attacking them) and he is currently in jail for a murder he committed in 1995. Although he still denies killing Bobbi and Annette to this day, back around the time the murders were committed, he bragged to other prisoners (on another attacking sentence) to killing two women in the woods. In fact, when he and a fellow inmate were watching the news and Annette's picture was featured as a missing person (her body wasn't found until 6 months after her murder) Luther looked at the picture with a dark stare and said, "They'll never find that b*tch!" Sick, sick, sick man. Thank GOD he is behind bars where he belongs. |

There is an interesting similarity in both of these UM cases. I know the Bobbi and Annette murders were both linked by an orange sock found at the scene. When Mike Reemer's girlfriend, Diana Robertson, was found she had a white tube sock tied around her neck. There was a couple found murdered close to the same area as Diana 4 months earlier and the woman also had a white tube sock tied around her neck in the same fashion. I think its very possible Mike Reemer could have been the killer of all 3 since the first couple was found near where one of Mike's traps were. Maybe there was an altercation of some sort.

Crystaldawn, I've been thinking that what if Mike Reemer set up Diana's body to make it look like the work of the person responsible for the previous murders 4 months ago. I believe it's most likely Mike Reemer killed Diana but I'm not sure if he is the serial killer. It would make very interesting reading if Mike Reemer was found, dead or alive!
ps. Sorry for bringing up an old post. pps. From the look of it, I get the feeling Jeff Olberholtzer is innocent, just my gut feeling on the matter. Quote:
