June didn't like the idea of her boys associating with the trash man's kids. Was it because she was a 'snob' (as some claim) or because she was truly concerned about her boys' health and welfare?

Would you let your kid take off in the trash man's truck? Would you want your kids eating sandwiches in a junkyard or playing in places infested with rats?

Back then it probably wasn't a big deal to worry about your children, like it is today. Ward seemed to know Henry anyway. I think June was being to much of a snob.

You're definitely right. There were some episodes where I felt June worried about the boys too much. This was one that stuck out.

I'm sorry but I couldn't blame June for her concern here and I don't feel she was being a snob. I would NEVER allow my kids to play around rats and trash that they could get hurt on. I guess that's where June had a hard time being the mother of two boys because boys have no fear at all and quite frankly that is a very scary thought to a mother.

I agree. I don't think June was being snobbish about her boys playing with the trash man's kids. I think she was truly concerned about their welfare. I think Ward was wrong in letting Beaver ride in the trash truck in the first place.
