Default Why do these people even get married?

This is a shock, to say the least. From imdb.

Denise Richards Files for Divorce
Former Bond girl Denise Richards has shocked Hollywood by filing for divorce from her husband Charlie Sheen, while pregnant with the couple's second child. Citing irreconcilable differences for the split, the actress has retained the services of powerhouse divorce attorney Laura Wasser as she prepares for a court battle over custody of her daughter Sam and unborn baby. US news show Celebrity Justice reports Richards is seeking full custody of the children, and has asked Sheen be granted visitation rights. The couple's daughter is a year old, and Richards is six months pregnant with their second child. In the legal papers, filed in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Richards also demands "miscellaneous jewelry and other personal effects," as well as "earnings and accumulations of Petitioner from and after the date of separation". The divorce comes completely out of the blue for the couple, who seemed to be perfectly happy when they were recently interviewed about their new baby news. Richards even joined her husband on his hit TV show Two and a Half Men late last year. And in October, Sheen confessed he had had tattoos lasered off his chest to prove once and for all he had turned his back on his hedonistic past. He said, "I had some tattoos lasered off my chest. They don't represent the lifestyle I thought I would always have." And just last month, Sheen made no mention of any marriage trouble when he told American magazine Us Weekly that he couldn't wait to become a dad again, and confessed he and Richards were hoping their second child would be another girl. The couple were married in June 2002 after meeting on the set of movie Good Advice in 2000 and then fell in love when Richards became a regular guest on Sheen's sitcom Spin City. Sheen announced the couple's engagement at 2002's Golden Globe Awards after proposing to the actress in Hawaii.

Ah, the famous irreconcilable differences clause...That really came out of nowhere though.

I feel the same way. It's really sad and what's even sadder is that they have a daughter and another on the way. I thought they'd make it, too.

You'd think something pretty bad would have had to have happened to have a woman leave her husband while she's pregnant.

I think the percentage is a little higher for famous couples. Especially the ones where both people are famous.

Paul Newman/Joanne Woodward type marriages are like, non-existant anymore.

I think the percentage for famous couple is more like 75% which is sad, of course there are exceptions. I think Newman and Woodward have been married for over 50 years...

I thought they made a really cute couple. But in Hollywood this isn't that uncommon.

Considering Sheen's womanizing past, it's probably a safe bet to surmise he got caught doing something he shouldn't have been doing.

This is just crazy! Saw the promo for "Two and a Half Men" and she and her daughter were on the show! I thought he (Charlie) would be happy with her but that's not the case.

This really came out of left field. I shouldn't be shocked but I am..........

And she's pregnant...... How sad...

Being married you have to give up alot. Almost your soul. It takes alot of work to stay married.
