Default Which overall theme was the best?

Which theme of the above listed is your favorite of all the Munsters versions?

(Sorry, I made it into a poll since some people don't like to post.)

I'm a guitar player, so the surfin'-type twang of the second season gets my vote!

Very cool! Groovy!

(I wonder who the guitar player was?)

My best,

Is the Second Season theme completely made up out of guitar? Somebody said that they could also hear a tuba, a pipe organ, and maybe some drums at the end. Here are 2 clips for examples.

The lead line is a twangy electric guitar, backed by an entire orchestra, accented with surfin'-beat drums.

Cool! Sounds like Joe Connelly and Bob Mosher must have payed a pretty penny for the guitar player, the orchestra, and the drum player. I wonder how much it cost to make the Opening, Transition, and Closing themes for the second season.

I forgot if we ever talked about this, but if The Munsters got a third season, would they have kept the surfin-beat theme of season 2, or would they switch to something a little bit more goulish, like in season 1.

I think they would have kept the surf-type tune for another season. They might have used the Munster, Go Home theme, but it was pretty slow and not as 'hip' as the surf tune. Just my opinion...

I think you're right. The Munster, Go Home! theme is OK, but doesn't have that beat from season 2. And I don't think they would put the first seasons theme in for the third season. So I'm pretty sure they would have kept on going with season 2's theme.

I'm just glad it was the 60's instead of the 70's.

This thread could be about a disco tune.

(Okay, I'm not a big disco fan... Being a guitar player, the surf stuff is more my cup-o-tea.)

My best,
Dirt

If The Munsters was on from 1974-1976 and they had a theme with a disco tune?

Good Lord, no! The Munsters Today jazzed up 80's theme is bad enough!

(BTW: Have you looked at the poll lately? Looks like Second Season, beat First Season's butt!)
