Hi!
I am doing a class project where I need to research whether you think One Day at a Time lead society or reflected society. Do you think that the show influenced what people did or do you think it showed how life was? Any input would be appreciated. TwinkleIz |

i think it did both - it obviously was written to reflect what was going on in a growing number of families, and provide a new viewpoint to the masses.
whether it truly influenced society is pretty hard to say, but speaking as a child in a divorced household, it made it a little easier to laugh at something when you could see that life could still be good even though some things were going badly. ...or I could be just full of nonsense, it IS past my bedtime
