Default People over 21 who don't know how to fill out a Job Application

Yesterday at my job, me and several co-workers were applying for other positions in the company because our current positions are being eliminated on June 30th. So it was two co-workers who didn't know how to this question on the Application.

REASON FOR REQUEST

One worker left it BLANK and the other worker put-BECAUSE I"M BEING LAID OFF on JUNE 30TH

LOL-LMAO

MESSAGE TO ALL MEMBERS ON S.O. UNDER 21,-When you are asked why you are interested in a job, never never ever leave it blank or say because I'm being laid off. Please remember that.

You will be surprised to see how many older people don't know how to fill out an application. This one dude I know, a few years ago, he was applying for a office position, and he was listing some of his work history, and one of the places he listed was an under-the-table job he had picking apples on a farm. I told him don't list that because the people won't know who to call or who to get in touch with. That was just a courtesy job.

Last summer we were accepting applications where I work and I was helping my supervisor sort through them. We came across one where the applicant wrote a whole bunch of stuff about his former employer, calling her a lying bitch etc. Under the question which asks why he was no longer at his former job, his response was because we have a ****ty economy. This guy was probably about 30 years old and should have known better than to curse and say negative things about his other jobs. Needless to say we didn't hire him but everyone had a good laugh over that application.

So on the part of the application where you fill in your name, address, etc....where it has Sex...I shouldn't write, "as often as possible".

Someone should write, "Because I need a job!" I mean, that is why you fill out applications.

The things I hate are those damn tax things you have to fill out when you get hired. Could that get more confusing? My mom told me just to write zeros, so I did.
