Default "The After Party" (3/4/05)

Meanwhile, Kerry tries to make a political statement by inviting a girl to the prom, and Rory is overjoyed when a hot senior asks him to the dance, on “8 Simple Rules,” FRIDAY, MARCH 4 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

“8 Simple Rules” stars Katey Sagal as Cate Hennessy, Kaley Cuoco as Bridget Hennessy, Amy Davidson as Kerry Hennessy, Martin Spanjers as Rory Hennessy, with James Garner as Jim and David Spade as C.J.

Guest starring are Vanessa Lengies as Monica, Leighton Meester as Nikki, Liam Sullivan as Duane, Matt Lanter as Brendon and Kimberly Kevon Williams as friend.

“The After Party” was written by Robert Spina & Grant Nieporte and directed by Patricia Doak.

By any chance did anyone not see the After Party? I didn't see it,they showed an hour special with Marlo Thomas having to do with cancer instead.

I liked this episode. I am glad that it didn't turn in to what I thought it was going to, a conservative/republican bashing.

While I am against gay marriage, I am far from against gay people. It was good to see the topic dealed with maturely, in all aspects.

Good episode overall. I was kinda surprised about Rory's girlfriend turning out to be gay. Talk about bad luck.

What kind of statement is she trying to make? If she's saying that it shouldn't always have to be a 'girl' asking a 'boy' to the prom, meaning a girl can go with another girl as 'friends' like 'hanging out',( like should'nt always have to follow tradition) that's one thing.

Well, I'm glad that I missed this episode, for I'm against that kind of living. I really don't think it is necessary for them to be this kind of subject(issue) to a sitcom. This is a sitcome to make people laugh, not to use as one's political agenda.
