...during the third and fourth seasons. I know she did the inventory thing with her boss, but for what company. I also recall the episode where the kids were trying to sell underwear to raise money for a trip. That morning she went to work. Was it ever revealed what type of work she did after James came to his senses about her having a job?

I know in the last season, she drove a school bus.

Poor writing. After James died it would appear that the family lived off of JJ's jobs.

Yes, she was laid off in that episode, but I think that somewhere down the line, she must have got her job back. Maybe that's the job that she was talking about.
