The worst day of my life.. - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Well, yesterday was my worst day ever! First off, my best friend won't even talk to me at all. Why? Because she wants me to go out with some guy who I don't like. I kept telling her I wouldn't go out with him, and now she's all mad at me. Somtimes, I just don't understand her.

Next, all of you know that "Larry Loves Janet" was on last night at 11. Well, this being an episode I like, I wanted to watch it. Now, my mom doesn't like me watching TC at 11 at night. But, I did anyway. Unfortunately, I only got to watch a few minutes of the show before my mom came into my room and turned off the TV. Well, that caused me to start flipping out, and I cried too. Yes, I know I'm a big baby, but I haven't been watching the show for a week!

Well, all of the crying and yelling led my dad into the fight. He woke up from his sleep and yelled at me! And the worst part of all, he said I needed physcological help! He thought that I was too obsessed with the show! Now, this caused me more tears.

Now, the thing is, my parents don't understand me, my friends don't understand me at school. Pratically, no one around me understands me. So, watching TC makes me feel happy and loved. But, my parents just think I'm obssesed. I have no one else to turn to, except you guys. I thank you guys for being there for me, even though I'm new here.

I know how you feel.I've been feeling bad lately.First of all,my mom also won't let me stay up to watch TC.Also the girl I love is going to Snowcoming and Prom with one of my friends

Don't feel bad that you feel no one around you understands you...they're just in a funk and they clearly don't realize your originality. As far as being obsessed goes, there are plenty of worse things to be obsessed with. And what's the big deal with being obsessed with a TV show? It's something that you like, and it's great that you like it! Maybe you could watch the show with your parents and get them to see that you like it (just a suggestion).

They have NO right to call you obsessed with the show just because it makes you happy. When things make us happy of COURSE we want to have it over and over again. At least you're not like most people your age going out and doing drugs- I'd say they should be thankful it's a t.v. show you love. Hon, I know it hurts- but try not to take what they said TOO personally, ok? Honestly, my dad kinda gives me the same treatment if he sees me locked in my room and not going out with friends so I could watch t.v. It's not right- it makes ME happy so why should he care? Maybe I should go out and get trashed like some of the people my age and see how they feel.

I like who you are. I've talked to you on AIM and I know you've got a lot to offer. I don't understand why your peers don't feel the same way-- it's because you have a brain and they don't. You're a sweetie, you're funny, and you've got GREAT taste in men, if I do say so myself

I'll see you on AIM sometime soon...sorry I haven't been on but I've been working these past few nights and can only muster enough strength to watch TC and check the board

I know what you mean. im having problems with my mom right now. she said if i dont start shaping up, i can just move out. im 14!! where do i go?? i have no place to stay! the only friends i have are in here!! she has no idea how this is making me feel. she's always telling me that she just wants me to be happy, but what she is doing is making me feel worse. she said the only people i care about are my messege board friends. well, yea would you if they cared more about you than your own mother?? i tried watching my TC tapes just a little while ago while my mom is at work and i thought it would make me feel better. it did for awhile. we're all here for you and if you need anything you know that we're here!!

I just want to say thanks you guys. To all of you. You're all sweet people and the only that know how I feel. I'm glad that I found this board and joined it. I never felt so belonged and in place with everything. I just love watching the show, and it makes me feel happy all the time. The show is just funny and heartwarming in everyway. Not to mention it has my hunk on there! But, my parents don't understand. My mom, you see, comes from a very discipline family. She always tells me about how she never got in trouble, and how she always listened to her parents. I just think she wants me to be a little discipline. I was so angry last night too. And my dad, well, me and him sort of have a big mouth, so we both yell a lot. But, hey, I'm only 12 years old. Just teenage hormones I guess. That's why TC is the only thing that makes me happy. I'm really glad that all of you guys care for me, and I'll be here for all of you. I love you guys!

Don't take it personally, my parents say that kind of stuff to me too but they don't mean it. I bet your parents don't mean it either. It's okay to be obsessed with TC, we all are! You don't need to go to a shrink or anything like that, trust me. I've been upset too these last couple of days but I guess it's only because I'm getting older, and these are supposed to be the hardest times of my life, or some crap like that. Yea, I know what to mean. My dad always yells at me for everything, but within like..an hour, he'll apologize to me. But, this time, he hasn't yet. Maybe I should make a rude remark on what he said. But, unfortunately for me, my hardest times in life are just starting..

Oh wow, hope everything gets better, i know how you feel though, no one understands my tc thing either. That's why I LOVE comming to these boards, it feels like home

And yes i've had the worst week too, just the other day my boy friend told me that he was moving. I've only known him for FOREVER and he's lived in the same house (right by me) FOREVER and he wants me to help him pack but i could never do that, i'd be way too sad. I can't even go past his house without being sad because i see the for sale sign. I'm not just loosing my boy friend, i'm loosing my best friend. I've known him FOREVER and we basically grew up together and we never even used to go out, we were just friends, until last year when we went to the christmas dance together. I am really gonna miss him

I'm being single for a while now. I don't really want a boyfriend. I can image how much that sucks about your boyfriend/best friend moving. I never had anyone close to me moving though. Geez..everyone is having a bad week. I feel so relieved I'm not the only one. Well, finally tonight I will be able to watch TC! I'm so happy!

Aww, I'm sorry to hear that, Chelsea. It's okay to be obsessed with "Three's Company". I most definitley am (or is there a word for even more than obsessed? LOL) and I have been for many years. I really agree with what retrogirl82 said, there are so many worse things to be obsessed with. Don't feel bad, everyone thinks I'm crazy too for loving this show, and for loving John so much. But you know what I tell them? I say "I like what I like, and if you have a problem with it, then that sucks for you." LOL, I don't care what other people think. I just feel bad for them because they're missing out on the greatest television sitcom of all time (and, the greatest actor, of course

Aww..thank you guys. I feel better now. I think I'm over it now. And I can't help that I'm obsessed with this show, and John! I think the word that is more than obsessed, is obsesseder! I know what you mean I can not watch three's company on school nights my self. Sometines I get to watch a few minutes of it also. I am happy when the weekend comes and holidays so that I can watch it all I want.

That's why I LOVE comming to these boards, it feels like home And yes i've had the worst week too, just the other day my boy friend told me that he was moving. I've only known him for FOREVER and he's lived in the same house (right by me) FOREVER and he wants me to help him pack but i could never do that, i'd be way too sad. I can't even go past his house without being sad because i see the for sale sign. I'm not just loosing my boy friend, i'm loosing my best friend. I've known him FOREVER and we basically grew up together and we never even used to go out, we were just friends, until last year when we went to the christmas dance together. I am really gonna miss him
