Default Interesting Things I Never Knew About Y&R...

...or, Everthing I Know About Y&R I Learned On TVTome.

It was originally going to be called "The Innocent Years" (working title).

Peter Bergman(Jack) was born in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Eric Braeden(Victor) used to work under the name Hans Gudegast.

Keith Hamilton Cobb(Damon) was named one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world in 1996. (People Magazine)

Jeanne Cooper(Catherine): In the 1980s, her face lift surgery was incorporated into her "The Young and the Restless" storyline, including actual footage of the surgery. Ewww, I'm glad I don't remember that storyline.

Doug Davidson(Paul) was host of the syndicated version of The Price Is Right (1994-95)

Don Diamont(Brad): I'm amazed by how old he is (born 1962) but doesn't look it. That has to go for Doug Davidson too(born 1954).

Jerry Douglas(John): Birth name is: Gerald Rubenstein.

Christel Khalil(Lily): In the notes it states, Is said to look like actor Jennifer Beals. I guess now that I think about it, she sort of does resemble her.

Christian LeBlanc(Michael): Worked as a busboy for Leona Helmsley. Is an artist who has won awards for his illustrations, and is writing a children's book.

Shemar Moore(Malcolm): Shares the same birthday (April 20th) as Actress/Model Carmen Electra. wow
Once dated Academy Award Winning Actress Halle Berry. Wow, for real!
On May 21, 1999 Shemar yelled "The streak is over!", and presented Susan Lucci with her very first Emmy Award after her historic string of losses.

Joshua Morrow(Nick) was born in Juneau, Alaska.

Victoria Rowell(Drucilla) helped change a law that allows foster childern to stay in the system until they are 21 years old.

Kristoff St. John(Neil): Is diligently in the process of selling a new family board game that he created with two close partners.

Patty Weaver(Gina) keeps busy on the night club circuit.
She has opened for Bob Newhart, Don
Rickles, Jerry Lewis and the late George
Burns in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. She's
a regular on some of the most prominent
telethons and has helped raised millions for
charities.

Tonya Lee Williams(Olivia) was born in London, England.

Tracy Bregman(Lauren) was born in Munich, Germany.

That's pretty much it for the regulars.

Tom Selleck played Jed Andrews (1974-1975)

Heather Tom(Victoria-the old one ) is the older sister of acting twins David Tom(I knew that one) and Nicholle Tom.

There are a lot more cast members named but I won't go through them all.

On another note, Lauralee Bell, Shemar Moore, and Joshua Morrow were all panelists on my favorite Game Show Match Game in the 90's.

I knew most of those, except the things about Shemar, Kristoff, and Patty. I really miss the late 90's version of Match Game. I used to watch it every day. Vicki Lawrence, Nell Carter, and Judy Tenuta were all regulars. I loved when they brought in Y&R people as guests. Of course, it was rather convenient, being in the same studio.

I've never seen them(the Y&R cast) on Match Game, unfortunately. I do see that version of Match Game every once in a while on GSN, and I catch Vicki on it so that's nice!

Come to think of I do also remember seeing Melody Thomas Scott on the old Match Game recently. A very young Melody Thomas.

I knew that, it was when he was still playing Noah on "All My Children"

Jeanne Cooper(Catherine): In the 1980s, her face lift surgery was incorporated into her "The Young and the Restless" storyline, including actual footage of the surgery. Ewww, I'm glad I don't remember that storyline.

Of course this i knew.

Victoria Rowell(Drucilla) helped change a law that allows foster childern to stay in the system until they are 21 years old.

Yes, Victoria Rowell is an advocate of the foster care system. she went through the system herself. She hosts a charity auction every year to raise money for Foster Care charities.

Heather Tom(Victoria-the old one ) is the older sister of acting twins David Tom(I knew that one) and Nicholle Tom.

Yep. Nicholle Tom is the girl that played Maggie on "The Nanny".

Well, AMC was the first!

In 1974, Eileen Letchworth (Margo Flax) had an on-screen facelift and one in real life.
