2 are dead, 3 are in the hospital, 2 critically injured. This happened only 35 miles from here.

Columbus Man Stabs His Five Children

Police say a Columbus man went on a violent rampage Wednesday afternoon stabbing his five young children before taking his own life. At least two of those children have died, the other three remain hospitalized.

Witnesses told police that a woman followed by a five-year-old child with blood on her ran screaming from a home on Benning Road, then collapsed around 2:30 Wednesday afternoon.

The woman was not physcially injured.

Police Major Russell Traino said he broke down the door of the white cinderblock house and found a man and a child dead inside.

Police have identified the dead as one year old Clarence Smith-Moore, he died at the scene; two year old Stephan Smith-Moore, he died at the hospital; and boy's father 24-year old Clarence Lacey Smith died at the scene from a self-inflicted stab wound.

Three children, ages one-through-seven, are being treated at The Medical Center. Hospital spokeswoman Marion Scott says of the three surviving children, two are in critical condition and one is listed as unsatisfactory.

Neither Scott nor detective Lieutenant Vince Pasko could confirm reports that the victims were stabbed.

Ugh...thankfully he killed himself. Too bad he had to take the kids first. It would have been fine if he only stabbed himself. Worthless pile of ****.

Everyday these terrible tragedies happen in this world and it's a real shame.
If the man hadn't killed himself; he would've went to prison for a very long time but he chose to end his life rather than spend his life behind bars.
