On home videos of this show, the episode's opening sequence and credits are shown, then like the TV reruns, there's a segue like the space for commercials. On DVD, the opening parts run, then there's a brief continuation of the opening theme music w/additional credits like the first run eppies on NBC.

Yeah, because the "original cuts" are on DVD, not the broadcast versions seen on tv. In other words, the cut before it was sent to NBC and edited for time and content, thus why there are no breaks for commercials. People think Warner reinserts the missing footage into the existing NBC versions, but that's not the case.
