I've seen more of Skippy than I have Nick, and while I also liked Nick, I have to choose Skippy.

Skippy had that endearing, goofy friend-of-the-family quality that made him quite likeable. Nick was portrayed as a bit of a lummox in the earlier episodes, but he became more likeable as his relationship with Mallory progressed. All-in-all, I'd have to vote for Skippy, because he was named after my favorite peanut butter...
