i want to post a bad trder alert to help everyone else. here's all the info i have on the guy and a copy of the emails we've shared.
Basically, he did not want to set up a trade and only wanted to sell. i agreed and sent the money. its now 4 months later and have not heard from him. whats weird is he lives less than 60 miles from me but he claims it took almost a month to receive it. also, he only admitted to receiving the check when i threatened to cancel it. also, he insisted on waitng to make the dvd's until he received the check but he was somehow able to send the dvd's less than a week after he "received" the check. i just want everyone to watch out and i will quickly post a follow up if he ever finishes this

I have all episodes of Sabrina season 1-7...all the ones when they aired on ABC and the ones from the wb. u can have them all on dvd with the geena davis show for $110.

that would be great. did you get me other email about geena dvais show promos? also, does your sabrina set include any sabrina promos or tgif host segments(i believe there were at 5 melissa joan hart filmed for the WB)? or any of the tv movies? if i send them to you would you be interested or able to put those on dvd? also, how many disks are each set?

Hey...the movies for Sabrina are included in the set. Both shows have Promos.
geena davis show is about 7 dvds
Sabrina is about 25 dvds

ok, just one last thing. are the commercials edited out of all episodes? if so, are they carefully eidted out so no part of an epsiode is missing? are all epsiodes complete?

i have tape traded before but have been burned too many times from people lying about episode sources, editing, and content. thats the reAson for all the questions. ok, all sounds great. how would you like payment sent and do you know about how long it would take to send out the sets? also, would it be too much to ask for inside schwartz in this deal and do you have all episodes of that show? one more thing, just to let you know, if this turns out well, you have quite a few more shows that id be interested in.

i will give u my address and everything when u have the money order ready to send. also it will take about 2-3 weeks after getting the money order to send your shows out...because Sabrina is a lot of dvd...

i think so. im going to cancel the check. would you accept paypal so i know that it gets to you? i dont think i can send certified mail to a po box and i would still like to follow through on this. but i dont want to go thru getting another cazshiers check and not having it get to you

im going to cancel it. its been almost a month since i sent it. i see no reason it should take that long to travel less than 60 miles. is there a reason why you dont deal with paypal? if its because of the service charge, id be happy to send extra to cover that charge

good advice, either pay via paypal or pass on the deal

at least with paypal the person needs to send you something, and if its a thief, you do have a good chance of getting your money back

my advice? pursue charges of mail fraud through the u.s. postal system. you have proof that your check was cashed and when, right?
i was recently involved with a shark who took quite a bit of money and sent an (incomplete) set of dvds of unbelievably bad quality.
he promised that all eps were in great condition and when i wrote to tell him i was having all sorts of picture problems, he wrote a nasty reply, castigating me for being "picky" and complaining too much.
i did pay him through paypal and he told me to get my money back from them if i could and goodbye forever (after a lot of name calling) because he was going to spam-guard any more emails from me.

so i pursued the mail fraud option and within a week of contacting the postal system, i got an email from the crooked seller letting me know that he had returned the money to paypal and that he was very sorry for any inconvenience!

in addition to my original post, i received an email from him right after i posted it saying he's sent out the set 3 times and cant beleive i havent received it yet. what a joke

as much as i hate the lazy employees at the post office, i have had exactly 2 packages lost in the last 7 years while dealing on ebay, yahoo, and the trade boards. thats impressive considering how i had about 6000 ebay transactions and another couple hundred with yahoo and the trade sites

it only costs either 35 cents or 45 cents to prove it got someplace with del confirmation. thats about a cheap price to pay to prove a package got there

Exactly! Your story and number of transactions sounds very similiar to mine (ebay, on-line book business, tape trading). Up until November of 2004 I had a perfect record when supposedly seven packages were lost enroute to my mailbox... all from the same trader, and he wonders why I doubt him. Coincidentally, of course, no tracking number was used.

This is the same old story. I wonder when bad traders will come up with a different line? I'm tired of this one.
