Don't get me wrong, folks....I'm glad to have the eposodes on DVD and it sure beats by a mile the VHS tapes I made from Nick At Nite, but who was planning this second season package?

Disc 1 says "check out the other discs for special features" but there is only one side of one disc that has any special features at all! When you select the "special features" option on the other disc, you get NOTHING, so why even have that on the menu??

Disc 3, side B has only 2 episodes on it-----plenty of room for special features there. would have been nice to hear from Dawn Wells or Bob Denver or maybe have a tribute of some kind to the Skipper or the Howells.

And what about that commentary for "The Little Dictator?" Same tired old stories and, except for isolated moments, it seemed like Sherwood Schwartz was just talking without even realizing that the episode was playing.

Yeah! With 3 double-sided disks there's enough room for Rescue from Gilligan's Island, The Castaways, and the Harlem Globe Trotters. Maybe even some behing the scenes footage or deleted scenes.

We only have one more chance with season three

I agree about the misleading menus stating to look for special features on other discs.
My understanding is that the other cast members wanted more money than what Warners' budget allowed and that is why only Russell Johnson makes an appearance.

I'm afraid I disagree on including the reunion movies with these sets. The last two were pretty awful. I'd rather keep the original series "pure" and keep the reunion movies separate. It's a moot point anyway since Warners doesn't own the rights to the reunion movies; they were produced by Universal.

On the whole I am very pleased with the first 2 sets. The A/V quality is excellent and the episodes are uncut. In my opinion, that is the most important thing.
