Was anyone surprised to see Betty White swearing and feeding animals to crocodiles? I know they're fake, but just the thought of it?

Yes, it was weird to see her play a part like that; she should stick to comedy roles whether on a tv sitcom and/or a movie.

Absolutely! I was quite shocked to see her talk so vulgar (especially towards the end of the movie, I think it was one of the last parts) it was REALLY shocking and I didn't like it at all. Didn't seem like a part she'd play. Yuck...she should have skipped out on that one. Didn't make her look good AT ALL.

I think she is a damn riot in that movie. It cracks me up everytime.

WITH BETTY WHITE THAT SAID SHE REALLY HAS A DIRTY MOUTH. STILL 6 YEars after leaving rose behind it still was wired.

I am shocked people are so prudish. Betty was so great in Lake Placid BECAUSE she was so different from Rose Nyland as she ever got, I thought she was a riot in the movie and it was so funny, yet shocking, seeing the words come out of her mouth that did. I mean, better her cussing than dumbing down and doing Disney flicks

Betty White is an actress. I think it was great to see her stepping outside of the "herself" we think we own. Her role in Lake Placid was perfect for people who, like me, would like a mindless horror flick like Lake Placid. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the character of Rose Nyland... but I'm in awe of the acting of Betty White.
