If I were you,I'd go with the surgery,I was afraid when I was told I was
going to have it,but the oral surgeon told me it the older you get the
more compliated and painful the surgery becomes. And I don't look
ugly because of it either,But it's your decision.

yeah my former oral surgeon told me Id need to get mine taken out. They plan to knock me out and then cut them all out. But now I'm waiting to see what my dentist says. I'm scared. Why can't you get them out? That's going to permanently affect how you sing?

Well, I had 2 of my wisdom teeth out last August and the last 2 out in January. It really wasn't SURGERY because they didn't put me to sleep. I just went to my regular dentist and he numbed the area, so I was awake the whole time but I couldn't feel a thing at all. The first time went perfect fine, but the second time I swelled up A LOT and had much more pain. I guess it was like minor surgery but I really don't call it surgery unless you're completely knocked out.

I think if the teeth are impacted in, then actual surgery would be good, but mine werent' so they were much easier to get out.

Well, not matter what you're going to have to get your wisdom teeth out eventually, if you dentist says so! You can't risk not having them out.

How can it affect the sound of your voice.I don't sound any different.
The only thing I found difficult months after the surgery,I could not
enjoy alot of my favorite snacks like potato chips, hard candy, raw veggies,
etc., But that's about it.

Yeah, I don't understand either. Your wisdom teeth are totally different than your vocal chords and when they do the surgery they don't go anywhere near them.

Sometimes it is really hard for me to comprehend everyone's pain and fear when it comes to wisdom teeth. I've had sisters who had them taken out but still. My oldest sister never had hers taken out. My dentist said I will never grow any.

I saw a guy my dentist referred me to about my wisdom teeth back in December and then he scheduled me in for sometime in April. I'll probably have all four taken out. I think only two teeth need to be taken out for sure, but I figured, if I have to have my wisdom teeth taken out, why not all four so that they don't cause me problems sometime in the future? I'm a little nervous about getting my wisdom teeth out. I've never had an operation before in my life. I know a wisdom teeth operation is pretty minor, but I'm still nervous about it. It's gonna suck drinking only liquids and eating only soft foods for awhile after the operation.
