Default Soap Opera Salaries

I wouldn't mind some of these paychecks. if your a newcomer you'll get paid around $700 per episode and most actors a guaranteed 1-3 days a week. as you move up you could expect $700 to $1300 per episode. for a sophomore you can expect anywhere from $1300 to $2500 an episode with 1-3 days a week. and if your a veteran you can expect anywhere from $1500 to $4000 an episode. not many people are in the $4000 range, except for the most popular actors and actresses. the yearly salary breakdown is a good size for anyone to live on.

1st Year Mark - $72,800 - $135,200/per year
5 Year Mark - $135,000 - $260,000/per year
10 Year Mark - $156,000 - $416,000/per year

That's really interesting. I always wonder what the actors make. Thanks!

Well, Susan Lucci is supposedly the highest paid person in the soap opera industry. Which i wouldn't doubt...

my guess is that after her, Diedra Hall, Kim Zimmer, Susan Flannery and Erika Slezak would be the next highest at least for female performers... for males, it probally goes like this: Anthony Geary, Eric Breaden, Peter Bergmen, Drake Hogysten, Ron Raines, James Mitchell, Don Hastings, and so on...

Soap opera salaries are something that have been kept pretty secretive, but i know that i've read reports that Susan Lucci has in her contract a clause that automatically ups her salary if anyone else on the network starts making more than her... but that could be a false report.
