How to ask your Boss for a salary increase..?
One day you send a letter to your boss asking for an increase in your salary.

The next day, you received this letter in reply:

Oh my dear:

I kNOw you have been working very hard. NOwadays, NOthing much has changed. You must have NOticed that our company is NOt doing NOticeably well as yet.

NOw the newspaper are saying the world`s leading ecoNOmists are NOt sure if the United States may go into aNOther recession. After the NOvember presidential elections things may turn bad.

I have NOthing more to add

NOw. You kNOw what I mean.

see now, the BEST way to ask for a raise is to block the boss out of his email account, then as you're fixing it for him, mention how his Internet Explorer history shows ALL of the websites he's been to and caches them, then casually let him know that you can clean it out for him to "save space", then remind him that youre struggling along on your meager salary but if he ever needs any other favors to let you know...

I've seen far too many people kiss ass in the work place for a raise. That didn't do anything but make themselves look bad. People should just be themselves and work hard. Sometimes that won't do it. Threatening to quit to go to another job is another way, especially if you established yourself as a good worker. I did that before, but it wasn't a ploy. I actually put my notice in at my current job a few years ago, my supervisor didn't want me to leave, so she lied to upper management what the other company was offering me, and they matched it. I got a $1.35 cent raise like that. I am not bragging, I was actually very fortunate and humble about it.
