Guys,

Everyone should see this very under-rated but superb film! And Justice For All is a scathing look at our criminal legal system. A compassionate defense attorney Arthur Kirkland (played brilliantly by Al Pachino) must choose between his career and moral integrity as he is blackmailed into defending a crocked and corrupt judge (John Forsethe) on charges of raping a young girl.

This film fasinates and has both humorous and heartbreaking scenses of the wheeling and dealing that goes on behind closed doors. It shows how powerful judges make life and death decisions with little care or compassion for the defendents. (One of Kirkland's clients is sentenced by the corrupt judge to 5 years in jail for a minor traffic violation.) Kirkland finally gets fed-up with the system and refuses to "play the game." The final courtroom scene in this movie is shattering and unforgettable! If you see the movie, make sure to see the uncut version. Don't watch this on regular TV or standard cable. Rent the tape or DVD. (or better yet buy it!) or record it off of one of the premium cable movie channels.

I agree, it is movies like this that make the 70s the best decade of film.

Yes I have this on the first 1980 release on VHS and its an excellent movie!!

Al is outstanding!!
