Default IS ESTELLE DYING?

I know she will not get any better and from interviews from castmates a few months ago she is bad. I also heard she is close to death? I was wondering if anyone could give me information. ESTELLE IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART SOPHIA

At the rate Estelle's health is going, she might not be with us for much longer. As you should know, Estelle was diagnosed with Alzheimers, but last year in '04, she was diagnosed with severe dementia. If and when she passes away, I will trully miss her and she will always be in my heart.

From past interviews, I've heard the former castmates say that it is a rumor, that's she's not close to dying. But they did say she was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease and Dementia. There was something about Ms. Getty on Entertainment Tonight.(I think, maybe it was Extra). It was on there the day Rue McClanahan had a guest role on Hope and Faith. I watched it, but it didn't really say much that I didn't know.

She does have Alzheimers and she isn't in the best of health. I don't know if she's close to dying (I don't even like saying it) but (whenever) it happens (to ANY of my Golden Girls) I will be truly saddened and probably go through a severe depression!!! Also I do remember one of the Girls saying on an interview, that when they did go and visit Estelle, she didn't remember who any of them were I wish people lived forever

I don't think she has Alzheimers.

According to her website, after living for seven years with what doctors thought was Parkinson's disease, it was recently diagnosed as Lewy Body Dementia. The website said the symptoms are fluctuating alertness and/or cognition, recurrent visual hallucination, and Parkinson's Disease symptoms.

I wonder why it doesn't mention that on her (supposedly) official website?
Maybe Rue made a mistake?
No matter what's wrong with her, I hope she stays strong.

Oh god, just reading that is breaking my heart. Now, I'm gonna be depressed. Estelle Getty is in my thoughts and prayers. If I don't stop writing soon, I'm gonna wind up in tears. So on that note, I'm done!

I don't think that Rue made a mistake, *only because* she said that Bea, Betty and herself went to visit Estelle, and "because of her having Alzheimers" she didn't know who any of them were....BREAKS MY HEART INTO A MILLION PIECES!
