Default NBC's decision pays off. Good news for NBC is good for AD

No matter what your opinion is.....you can't be FOR AD, and AGAINST NBC.
It just won't work out. Period.

I could just run around like the proverbial chicken with its head cut off and say "AD is the best....we deserve everything", etc., etc., etc.
Or, I could try to come up with constructive points of view AND be FOR NBC and their decisions and be an adult. I prefer the latter.

Last night showed why NBC has made its decisions for Sunday night. Going against the Grammy's, no less. They STILL pulled off better ratings for a repeat of Law and Order than we have had in a LONG time. 9 million viewers.
There is no arguing that.

This from tv.zap2it.com:

"At 8 p.m., the Queen Latifah-hosted Grammys stayed on top with a 12.2/18. ABC's second hour of "EM:HE" improved to a 9.7/15. NBC aired a repeat of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" and got a 6.0/9, easily better than the average for FOX's "The Simpsons" and "Arrested Development." On The WB, "Charmed" had only a 1.9/2."

Don't chop my head off. NBC won. We have to be FOR them while at the same time being for AD. It won't work any other way.
Congratulations NBC.

Peace.

Trust me just because I said it was a dumb move for NBC to put AD on Wednesdays against the American Idol annoyance I'm not mad at NBC at all.Mel

It is good for us because NBC has to have high rated shows. The higher ratings ANY show gets at NBC the higher TOTAL ad revenue they take in.

Last year RATINGS did NOT keep us on air. Jeff Zucker did. One of the reasons Jeff Zucker could have gotten his way was by pointing to all the other shows'
high ratings.

Kind of like "you don't have to win every battle to win the war" mentality.

Being FOR NBC only helps us......they are our "parent". We are only a "kid".

Peace.

The repeat of Law and Order beat 9 million veiwers again this week.
This from tv.zap2it.com:

"ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" had a 10.3/16 to win the 8 p.m. hour, beating the 9.5/14 for CBS' "Cold Case." NBC had third with "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," which barely beat the 5.8/9 for two episodes of "The Simpsons" on FOX. The WB trailed again with the 2.1/3 for "Charmed."

So we do not bode well to argue and/or be against NBC. They do a lot of research and have probably MORE INTEREST in keeping AD on the air than any of us do.
If they think Wed. night is better......we should wait and see.
This is their business......they must know it.

Peace.

Just thought I let everyone know that I read at E! on line the reason they are changing AD to Wed. is because they feel the Contender will do better up against Extreme Home makeover. They said its basically "counterprograming". So maybe they're right. I guess we'll know soon enough.

I knew they had some reason for this move.....other than what we could "see".
They are the professionals........we are fans of what they put on.
Leave it up to them.....they know what to do.

Peace.
