Did anyone else like the Puerto Rican maid who briefly replaced Florence? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I liked her at first but when they were turning her in another Florence I was wondering why. It would have been nice for the Puerto Rican Maid to have her OWN personality and not act like Florence. The point of Florence being gone from the show was to MOVE ON not go backwards-lol

I like yourself liked her at first, but they tried to give Florence lines to her. You just can't duplicate anything original. Remember that other maid George wanted? Her name was Prudhorne or something. She was funny in scenes with George.

The producers could have chosen the Puerto Rican Maid from All in the Family-Teresa to work for the Jeffersons in 81 and have her and George go at it like she did with Archie. That would have been creative

Wow, I missed a lot. I am not an avid Jerffersons fan but I did watch a lot of the show in syndication and I didnt even realize Florence left the show. This makes me want to get into the show again and watch it from the beginning. The episodes I saw were good. I want to see how the Puerto Rican maid worked out for them.

She was only on a few shows. After Marla Gibbs show got canceled they brought her back to the show fast.

IMO nobody could replace Florence.

The producers could have had another woman play A maid who got along with George and traded insults with Louise-LOL Do u think that would have been funny?

It would have been different. LOL. The only person Louise ever traded insults with was Mother Jefferson.

I like Carmen Sepeda a lot. She could never replace Florence but she was better than Ms. Pruehome.
