Default Another blooper I think?

I don't know the name of this episode but it was on last week. The one about Mama's feud with The Gephart's? Well, she was telling Iola that the feud started when The Gephart's put one of those ugly circular clotheslines right outside her kitchen window. Well right out side the kitchen window is the Harper's driveway! So they couldn't have put it up there! Or hadn't the fact of the location of the driveway been written in yet?
I don't know the order of the episodes but a few days earlier Bubba and Vint were playing basketball in the driveway. (the Lollie Purdue episode)

Maybe the clothesline was just on the other side of the driveway and Thelma didn't like looking at it?

And another thing. The home that the Gephart's supposedly lived in for at least 30 years. Wasn't that Naomi's house in the beginning?
ha ha. I love to nit pick!

Oh yeah another thing about the driveway...............It runs along the back of the house. Where does it go into the street?

I'm not sure if I have this right, but I don't think the house was meant to have a driveway at first. if you look at the opening credits you'll see the house has no driveway in the front. and in an early episode the cars were parked on the street. some houses do have the driveway in the back, but it leads to another street and not the actual street the house is located on. most sitcoms have the driveway in the back, Growing Pains, Family Matters, etc.

I think that you are right. From the look of the front of the house in the opening credits there is no driveway. And in a few NBC episodes it always shows the cars parked on the street. Also even in later episodes Vint's truck is usually parked in front of the house. But notice that Vint comes home from work through the front door and Naomi usually leaves and goes to work out the back. But anyway they got a driveway later. They had to park their motorhome there!

Question

Also in the episode when they try to sell Iola's handicrafts.Mama comes out on the porch and tries to watch the movie through the Gephart's window she is looking to the left of the porch. But when Bubba falls for Fred Gephart's granddaughter. The house is on the right side of the porch.

I always got the impression that they had an alley behind their house. The house next door apparently had a drive way because I remember in an early episode when Naomi (still living next door) told Mama to do something about her tree because she had berries or something all over her car from Mama's tree.

Is it possible the "window" is on the "wall" we don't see (where the audience is actually sitting)??

Since Sitcoms only seem to have 3 walls you could be right.

Okay, it took me awhile to put this one together, but it seems like this is how Mama's house is:

That's not the Gepharts' (Gebhart?) house that Mama watches "My Sister, Myself" through the window in the Iola-yard-sale episode. That's the Whittakers' house.

Although in the April Fool's Day episode the Whittakers' house is actually on the other side, the Gepharts' house.

Now I am really confused! But I think I get what you mean. And, as far as the spelling of Gephart I knew someone one named Gephart so I am assuming that is how it is pronounced. Imdb.com spells it that way too but I have found several mistakes there! Example: the Boylen/Boyland debate.
