Question Where's Waldo?

Where did Waldo dissapear to during the last 2 seasons of Family Matters? I thought his charachter was Hillarious, and the show just wasn't the same after Season 7. Did they ever mention what happened to him in the show? Or did they just drop him like they did previous charachters like Judy, Rachel, and Weasel?

I belive the character moved to New York, to attend either a cooking school or a tap dancing school.

I don't think they ever mention where Waldo went to. All they know was that he was just dropped unexpectedly. Not one clue was given in his final episode "Send in the Clones", but I'll bet he went on to become a great chef.

Maxine read a letter to Laura from Waldo, in a season 8 eps, revealing that Waldo had been accepted into a cooking school in New York. That's the only time he's mentioned in season 8, we never see or hear from Waldo in season 9 unfortunately. I don't know why they got rid of Waldo since he is one of the funniest characters on the show.

Waldo was awesome, he was like the Cody Lambert of Family Matters. But the question isn't "Where's Waldo?". It's more like "What happened to Shawn Harrison?" Why did he leave the cast? Was he fired? Just dropped? What happened?

If he was fired I'm sure we would have heard about it. Another thing, many people considered Cody's arrival on Step By Step the "urkelization" of that show.

Really? At first I thought so too. Then I saw a FM episode with Waldo in it and he was so much like Cody. I realized the comparison between Cody and Waldo was more realistic than Cody and Urkel.

That's right, too bad they both left both shows during their last 2 seasons.

I remember in one episode Eddie was talking to Waldo and he says your the only Waldo, and Waldo says back I think there is another dude named Waldo but they can't seem to find him, lol.

He was funny and they should have kept him on the show.

I can't think of any reason as to why he would want to leave. If Shawn Harrison was having problems, or if he was fired, I'm sure we would have heard about it. Kind of like the problems that Jo Marie Payton had. And he didn't star in any other tv shows or movies after he left, so we know he didn't quit to do something else like Telma Hopkins. And his character got alot of attention so the writers couldn't have just gotten rid of him because he was too small of a character like Jaimme Foxworth. So I really don't know why he left.
