Default Saskatchewan? Ohio State? WHERE were the guys from????!

Just watched this weekend's two episodes, and during Hildy's funeral they mention Buffy and Hildy growing up in Saskatchewan, and being crowned the Acorn Queen (whatever THAT is). Then in the next episode they tell the story of how Kip and Henry graduate from Ohio State University and get hired by Ruth to go to New York City.

Have they EVER mentioned this before, where did they guys go to highschool - I remember the "prom" flashback episode (at their HS reunion), and has the show ever definitively revealed WHERE the guys were actuallly from?

Oh, and are there REALLY any Lumberjacks in Saskatchewan? - I find that an anomaly in itself....

ok, so I FINALLY watched the first episode form last weekend, the one where Kip's sister comes to the big city to "become a woman" or whatever, and they mention at least a couple of times that they are from Ohio.

Yes, the guys are from Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Shaker Hts High.
I don't know what the writers were smoking when they came up with Saskatchewan for Buffy and Hildy's hometown, especially when Kip and Henry are from the United States.

I agree!! I was sure Kip and Henry were from Ohio - and in around the Cleveland area, so Shaker Heights High sounds right (its a really nice suburb of Cleveland). (not bad for a Canuck eh)?

And yah - they were smokin' some great stuff - especially if they had mentioned lumberjacks in Saskatchewan - that's hilarious!! There isn't a tree or even a bush in that province - its completely flat prairieland!!!

So I take it they embellished the stories of Hildy being named the Acorn Queen?
