Default We have tough and moral competition

Over the weeks I have read numerous postings arguing that our show is needed for "family entertainment"......and that America needs it.

But I don't know if we have fully thought out the situation.

We are up against Cold Case and Extreme Make Over Home Edition......or something like that.

Cold Case has stories in search of justice.........something we want to teach our children.

Extreme Makeover Home Edition helps out those less fortunate.......something we want to teach our children.

Aren't we AD fans actually in favor of what these other shows teach?

I'm not saying AD isn't good......but that doesn't mean these other shows are necessarily bad.

Peace.

Cool I

I don't like those shows and I absolutely can't stand Reality tv.However I like Law and Order SVU and the new Law and Order trial buy Jury looks interesting but I don't feel like an AD traitor and I hope nobody feels I'm an AD traitor..I truly have no interests what those shows teach because I don't watch them.

Cold case doesn't appeal to me so I don't ever want to watch that I'm sorry .And Reality tv I wish would just die now its not even real and I wonder if I am the only one whom knows that Reality tv should be called fake tv.So I'm going to go now bye.Mel

If you look at it that way, there is some truth to what you write, but...

Are you sure that you are an American Dreams fan? I am starting to think that you only enjoy it with a passing fancy. You are making somebody like me look like an American Dreams fanatic nut case.

As an American Dreams fan, I can never see myself starting out a sentence with the words, "I'm not saying AD isn't good, but..."

Peace back atchya.

Bottom line is they are the competion. If more people are watching those shows and not AD, AD will be cancelled and as an AD fan who has never seen those other shows I don't want to see my favoriote show cancelled, but time will tell.

I can't believe someone is questioning my "fanship" for AD.
But I guess that's the "value" of the internet, people who have never met you seem to "know" you.

I have posted numerous times about the ratings going up and the family values of the show. I NEVER get questioned then.

I have also posted when ratings have gone down........showing a need for ratings improvement.
I get shot down then.

It seems if you do anything other than praise this show.......people get mad.
That is NOT my opinion of a "fan".
A fan wants the best......turning your head when a train is coming down the tracks does NOT make the train disappear.

Peace.

That's all it was, was a question. I never said "I know" about anything. Now, Until AD is back, I am off this board.

Too much negativity.

Peace back atchya.

WOW.......I speak the truth, get knocked for it in a NEGATIVE way, and they I am referred to as "negative".
What is the age range of the people on this board?
My guess?
2 - 5 years old.

Peace.

I am a 58 year old happily married (for 35 years!) woman.

I was not pointing my finger at any one poster, just making a comment.

Here is a further description:

When you are a child and someone says "It's raining outside".....you sometimes get mad at the person who said it is raining. Although they had nothing to do with making it rain......you react in a "childish" manner.

When you are an adult and someone says "It's raining outside"....you take it for what it is.......a statement, whether you like rain or not.

On this board at times I am accused of being NEGATIVE because I say something like "ratings need to be higher", "NBC has a business to run", etc.

It is NOT my fault the ratings of our show have declined.....but somehow I am blamed for saying they are. Whether you like it or not.....in the TV world ratings DO matter. It is my concern for keeping us on air that makes me be AWARE of where we stand.......I will NOT be an ostrich with my head in the sand.
And in my opinion you can NOT be "for" AD and AGAINST NBC. It is NBC who decides how long we stay on air.....being FOR them only helps us.

There you go.

Peace.
