Great, thanks! I'll set my video. I went to the cinema last night to see Oceans 12 - didn't realise Bruce was in it. Oddly enough, I'm quite liking the bald look he has going on at the moment.

Sorry, no it is on ITV1.

Yes, Michael Parkinson does a talk show. He interviews 3 guests and has music between them. He is the "senior" interviewer in the UK. I saw a tiny clip yesterday and Bruce looked good

Yeah, he's switched to ITV now. He used to be on BBC until they wanted to take him off Saturday nights and he switched to ITV. You don't get ITV?

Ok, well before Bruce comes on, Parky shows a clip from his new film, Hostage. The Bruce comes in. He's wearing blue jeans and a black jumper, looking rather smuch and attractive. He makes a really funny comment about being able to use the word 'shag' on the show. He talks a bit about getting fed up of doing action movies, he talks a bit about his daughter Rumour (what the hell is that all about?!) following in his footsteps (he whispers to Parky to ask permission to use the F word at one point when talking about her daughter reading for the part). They speak a bit more about the movie and show another clip. Parkinson brings up his having a stammer as a child. They talk about his starting off in Moonlighting and the discipline involved in making a TV series and how he coped with the fame that it brought. They don't really say that much about it, they go on to talking about his marriage to Demi, divorce and relationships, which he does with some good humour. He says that he wants to have some more kids. The Bob Geldof (Parky's other guest, who is sat next to Bruce, and was interviewed first) starts talking about his views on how divorce is too easy - not a dig at Bruce and Demi, he's just waffling on, he's mostly talking about paternal custody of the children. Bruce talks about the falling out of love. He talks about his theatre and the possibility of doing more in London, and about doing another Die Hard film and jokes that it is called Die Hard 4.0. Then Bob Geldoff does another song. And that just about wraps it up.

First question about the interview -- What's a jumper?

I believe his daughter's name is spelled Rumer -- she was named after an author that BW and Demi admired. Her middle name is Glenn (after Glenn Gordon Caron?).

Was this show a live show?

Hi Kismet,

No this wasn't a live show - I think Bruce recorded it around the 8th/9th February when he was in London for a day. They edit it rather a bit I think...or so I've heard

A jumper to answer the other question is a British term for a sweater. Both are used in Britain tho..

It was a good interview, B was very positive about how doing a regular TV prog like ML was a great place to learn discipline and technical stuff esp as they used film rather than video on the series.

To add what Tamm said about Michael Parkinson (or Parky as we know him over here!!), he's been our major TV interviewer for 30 or so years, in the 70s he interviewed a lot of old Hollywood greats like Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, Lauren Bacall, David Niven etc. For some reason on Saturday he only had two guests, he does usually have three. It was very cool tho..!

Thanks for the info, Mul.

Does the show have a website? I would like to see clips or pics.

Is the show called Parker or Parky?
