I found some news on Stephen Talbot who played Gilbert. He has been trying to play down the fact that he was on the show to pursue a carreer in making documentaries. He refused to come back for the re-unions and made for tv series of the 80s. http://www.salon.com/aug97/mothers/beaver970822.html
